I’m a total disgrace to my hometown. I realize that.
It didn’t take me long to realize that downtown Indianapolis was buzzing with excitement on Saturday. There were runners everywhere dressed in neon green, and when I went to park in my usual mall parking spot near Nordstrom’s, it was going to cost me $20 because of “event parking.” Then I saw Brutus Buckeye standing tall outside of Champps restaurant. 
The entire restaurant was scarlet and grey– balloons, streamers, you name it. And there were Ohio State fans everywhere. I mean, EVERYWHERE. I was too embarrassed to ask why. Surely, I should know…but I didn’t. I started laughing. And that’s when I passed a street performer– playing the Ohio State fight song.
My family will disown me. They’re Buckeye fanatics. I, on the other hand, took the attitude early in life that it “doesn’t change anything in my life.” So while the rest of my family plans their activities around game time, and their moods are dependent on how their beloved team has performed, I live my life [gasp] without the Bucks. Lest you decide to egg my house when I’m sleeping peacefully tonight, I do have pride for OSU. And I did get excited when I saw the flag proudly flying in front of the Indianapolis Arts Garden 
So it was the tournament, huh? And they’re #1? I guess I’m a little out of it.
Regardless, it was a lot of fun to be downtown. I wanted to give Mateo, your child model search winner, a rockstar session. I wanted his pictures to be bright and colorful and cool. Here’s a real sneak peek:
